A down to earth law firm with a solution-first approach

Kilinski | Van Wyk is not your average law firm. Yes, they are an experienced, talented firm. They’re knowledgeable and highly specialized in special district councils (CDD’s), public finance, local government law, construction law and development consulting services. And what I’ve seen since working with KVW is that they are the most relatable, solutions-oriented  group there is. The firm’s founding partners recognized the formal corporate culture in most law firms, and decided to be different. They’ve created a firm, a culture and client relationships that are genuine, dependable and down to earth. 

Through an extensive brand excavation, our team was able to uncover and define the KVW brand story, key audiences and key messages. This guide drove the creative aspects of the brand as well.

KVW came to BLC to reinvent. With a new partnership, new name and new offices, it was time to change their name and with it, their brand. On a compressed timeline, I was able to take inspiration from their culture and unique specialities and provide several logo options that were Florida-centric, timeless and clean with a hint of traditional. The chosen logo uses clean, sharp lettering and negative space combining the V & W. We chose a mossy green representing the green Florida landscape, also growth and dependability.

Once the logo mark was finalized, it was carried across all collateral, business cards, letterhead, templates, etc. And then we started on the website. With the website, we used the greens to carry the brand through with lots of people imagery to give it that down to earth, human relatability. Functionally, the new site is accessible, easy to navigate and ready to engage the KVW audience through robust marketing integrations. 

 

While the mossy green is the star of the show, the full brand experience we created is warm and inviting, also professional and polished. The collaborative spirit of this project process allowed space to be fully creative, make quick decisions and find the best solutions to tell the KVW story.

The visual brand and messaging was then translated to the website, social media and beyond. With a strong cultural attachment to the Firm's core values, we've made those come to life throughout all aspects of the office and website. Lawyers with values? Absolutely. And that's what makes this group special.
